HEMP SEED PARMESAN

HEMP SEED PARMESAN

So first thing – there is no parmesan cheese in this. This is a cheese alternative so to speak. You’ve probably heard of vegan parmesan which is essentially a dairy-free replacement for parmesan cheese. Usually its a mix of cashews and nutritional yeast.

I, however wanted to try it with hemps seeds. I roast hemp seeds with spices and they are amazing so I thought they may work for this and it did. You get a nuttiness from the hemp and the cheesiness from the nutritional yeast.

My vegan friends approve! This can be used anywhere you would use parmesan. I like it on pasta and on salads. Did I mention this is super healthy? Both hemp seeds and nutritional yeast have lots of great health benefits, and this is a great way to get more of these foods into your diet.
