Chia lemonade, also known as chia fresca, is lemonade with chia seeds for added benefits. Refreshing, full of fiber and perfect for hot summer days. So how is mine different from your average lemonade? I use stevia for sweetness which makes this sugar-free. Most lemonades are really sweet and high in sugar. I also added the chia. I’ve had a lot of Indian drinks that have basil seeds in them, and I thought, why not try chia. This is also a great fasting drink for all those intermittent fasters out there.
- 1 litre water
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- liquid stevia to taste
- Mix all ingredients together in a glass. Let sit for 10 minutes to activate the chia seeds.
I use a bottle lemon juice from Sicily. Use a good lemon juice or fresh squeezed lemons.
