CHARRED BREAD

Forget your toaster, there is something really special and wonderful about charred bread. I like to use olive oil and garlic. But plain is just as good. All you need is a grill pan and a loaf of your favourite bread.
CHARRED BREAD
Equipment
- Grill pan
Materials
- loaf of bread
- olive oil
- 1 clove garlic
Instructions
- Cut loaf into ¾ inch slices. Brush with olive oil.
- Place on a hot grill plan for 3 minutes each side.
- Once done, rub with raw garlic if desired.
Notes
A grill pan is required to make those wonderful grill marks.
I like to rub raw garlic on after which give it a hint of garlic, but that is optional.
Use good bread, a nice sourdough or rye.
