AMARETTO ICE CREAM
Amaretto is my favourite liquor. I’ve had amaretto ice cream before, I have even had amaretto gelato in Venice, which was the best. They would top it with an amaretti cookie which I liked. I’m not going back to Venice anytime soon, so I decided to make my own. This is a no-churn recipe which is super easy to make. And just like in Venice, I add amaretti cookies on top, but also mixed them in with the ice cream which gives you a nice crunch between bites.
AMARETTO ICE CREAM
Ingredients
- 473 ml whipping cream 35% MF
- 300 ml condensed milk
- 2 tbsp amaretto liquor
- ¼ tsp almond extract
- 20 amaretti cookies crushed
Instructions
- Using a mixer, whip cream to soft peaks.
- Add condensed milk, amaretto liquor, and almond extract. Mix again until everything is incorporated.
- Fold in crushed amaretti cookies with a spatula.
- Put in freezable containers and freeze.
