AMARETTO ICE CREAM

Amaretto is my favourite liquor. I’ve had amaretto ice cream before, I have even had amaretto gelato in Venice, which was the best. They would top it with an amaretti cookie which I liked. I’m not going back to Venice anytime soon, so I decided to make my own. This is a no-churn recipe which is super easy to make. And just like in Venice, I add amaretti cookies on top, but also mixed them in with the ice cream which gives you a nice crunch between bites.

Ingredients
  

  • 473 ml whipping cream 35% MF
  • 300 ml condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp amaretto liquor 
  • ¼ tsp almond extract
  • 20 amaretti cookies crushed

Instructions
 

  • Using a mixer, whip cream to soft peaks. 
  • Add condensed milk, amaretto liquor, and almond extract. Mix again until everything is incorporated. 
  • Fold in crushed amaretti cookies with a spatula.
  • Put in freezable containers and freeze.
