PIRI PIRI HEMP HEARTS
I’ve been eating hemp hearts for a while now. They are super nutritious and a great source of protein as well as vitamin E and minerals, such as phosphorus, potassium, sodium, magnesium, sulfur, calcium, iron, and zinc. I decided to jazz them up with a fiery piri piri spice and roast them slightly. This has become one of my favourite pantry items, I absolutely love these. They are spicy and crunchy and great to sprinkle on salads or avocado toast. Sometimes I just eat them by the spoonful. You can make a big batch and store them in a jar for months.
PIRI PIRI HEMP HEARTS

- Remove from the pan into a bowl and let cool. Once completely cooled, store in an airtight container. .
Notes
My favourite is Piri Piri but you can use any spice you like. If you don’t want to use spices, then dry roast them and omit the spice and olive oil and just add a little salt.
My favourite Piri Piri spice is the PC Black label.
