Located in Goreme, this restaurant serves traditional food from the region. The most famous dish is the traditional Cappadocian testi kebab. It’s made in a small clay pot that is sealed and cooked on a fire. They serve it with rice and vegetables, and the server cracks the pottery kebab in front of you. You can film the entire process of how you crack the pot. Definitely a must-go restaurant when in Cappadocia.
TURKISH ICE CREAM
Turkish ice cream is made with Salep, the white powder from the tubers of an orchid that is grown in Turkey. This orchid powder makes the ice cream stretchy and chewy.
This ice cream is only available in Turkey. You will see street vendors selling them, and they put on a show when making your cone.
