Preheat oven to 400℉.
Add the olive oil and butter to the baking dish and put in the oven as the oven is preheating so the butter can melt.
Meanwhile, peel the carrots and cut into 1 inch pieces on an angle.
Slice shallots into 1 inch pieces.
Add the carrots and shallots into a baking dish.
Once the butter has melted, remove baking dish from the oven and add the carrots and shallots.
Sprinkle the salt, pepper, and Aleppo pepper onto the carrots and shallots.
Mix well, coating the vegetables in the butter and olive oil and seasonings.
Put back in the oven and bake for 40 minutes.
Once done, remove from the oven and drizzle the maple syrup over the vegetables and mix well.
Serve warm.
