Preheat oven to 325°F.
In a large bowl, beat the almond butter with an electric mixer. Add egg and mix.
Add the sugar, baking powder, vanilla, almond extract and mix well.
Add the flour and mix with a spatula until fully incorporated. Then use your hands to mix and crumble the dough.
In a square baking dish, put ⅔ of the mixture into the dish and press down evenly.
With an offset spatula, spread the cherry jam evenly on top of the cookie base.
Then sprinkle the rest of the cookie dough on top evenly.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Let cool for 20 minutes before cutting into bars.
