Servings 1 medium pizza


  • frying pan that is oven safe


  • 1 medium pizza crust or dough fits in your frying pan
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese grate
  • 4 slices soppressata cut into pieces
  • ¼ cup red onion sliced
  • 6 dried olives pits removed
  • 2 tbsp parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tsp Calabrian chili paste
  • 1 tsp honey
  • olive oil


  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Place a frying pan on medium heat. Brush with olive oil and put the crust or dough into the pan. If using dough, push the dough to the edge of the pan.
  • Spread the pizza sauce evenly.
  • Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese.
  • Add the pieces of soppressata and the red onions. Break the olives into pieces and add to the pizza.
  • Grate some parmesan over the pizza.
  • Bake for 15 - 20 mins in the pan.
  • In a small bowl, mix the honey and Calabrian chilis together.
  • Once pizza is done, remove from pan and drizzle with the honey mix.


I use this frying pan method because while on the stove top it crisps up the bottom of the pizza then gets finished in the oven. Since I don't have a pizza oven, I find this to be a decent alternative to get that crispy yet soft crust.
